How can i prevent my cats from going on the christmas tree?!?

they're attracted to the mint so it's like catnip, which they go crazy for. you could buy them some catnip so they have the mint and might leave your tree alone. buy them other toys too and play with them to keep them distracted, although i doubt it'll work. but if it's really bad, just use a spray bottle or give them a little slap when they're on the tree so they'll stay away next time
