Catholics and christians, please explain this to me?

You can believe in something with every ounce of your being, but that will never trump God's will. We cannot know or understand His plans or methods because His ways are not our ways. I didn't go to the link provided, but this answer seems to cover just about everything that one thinks that their faith should provide deliverance for but doesn't work out in their favor.
